Why it matters

Your body keeps the score. So give it every chance to recover.

We spend our days pushing through tension, stress, and long hours — then wonder why our bodies feel worn down. Massage isn't indulgence. It's one of the smartest, most proven ways to help your body do what it was built to do: heal.

When you combine therapeutic and relaxation bodywork, you lower stress hormones, ease chronic pain, improve circulation, and give your nervous system permission to reset. That's not pampering — that's strategy.

“The wisest thing you can do is help your body heal in every way you can.”

The benefits

Therapeutic strength. Deep relaxation. Real results.

Massage does far more than feel good in the moment. Here's what regular, intentional bodywork actually does for you.

Relieves pain & tension

Targeted therapeutic work releases tight muscles, eases chronic back and neck pain, and restores range of motion so you move freely again.

Calms the nervous system

Relaxation massage lowers cortisol and blood pressure, quiets anxiety, and shifts your body out of “fight or flight” into deep, genuine rest.

Boosts circulation & recovery

Better blood flow means more oxygen to tired tissue, faster recovery from workouts and injury, and a stronger, more resilient body over time.

Sharper sleep & focus

Patients and clients sleep deeper and think clearer. When your body isn't fighting tension, your mind finally has room to rest and reset.

Strengthens immunity

Regular massage supports lymphatic flow and reduces the chronic stress that wears your immune system down — helping you stay well.

A body you feel good in

Beyond the science, there's this: you deserve to feel cared for. Healing your body is one of the kindest, smartest gifts you can give yourself.

Two kinds of care

Therapeutic vs. relaxation massage

Both help your body feel better — but they serve different goals. Here's how to know which one fits what you need.

For treating a condition

Therapeutic Massage

Targeted treatment for a specific health condition or injury

Recommended when Dr. Sheely determines massage can support your treatment plan — for muscle tightness, trigger points, inflammation, postural strain, or soft-tissue irritation. It's clinical, goal-oriented work aimed at measurable improvement.

  • Addresses a diagnosed condition, injury, or area of pain
  • Part of a medically appropriate chiropractic care plan
  • Helps adjustments hold better by releasing tight muscles
  • May be covered by insurance, depending on your benefits
Best when: you're recovering from an injury or managing a specific problem.
For rest & wellness

Relaxation Massage

General stress relief, calm, and overall well-being

Designed for relaxation and wellness rather than treating a diagnosed condition. It eases everyday muscle tension, quiets stress, and leaves you refreshed — a genuine reset for your nervous system whenever you need one.

  • General stress relief and overall relaxation
  • Not tied to a specific diagnosis or treatment plan
  • Eases general muscle tension and improves well-being
  • Not billed to insurance — and your Massage Club member discount applies
Best when: you simply want time to relax, recharge, and feel better.

Please note: the Massage Club prepay discount applies to relaxation massage only. Therapeutic massage is part of a medically appropriate chiropractic care plan and may be billed to insurance, so it isn’t included in the club’s prepay pricing.

Frequently asked questions

How does the Massage Club prepay discount work?

Joining the club is free — just fill out the join form. Once you're a member, you can prepay 1, 3, 6, 9, or 12 massages at a time and take 10% off. You pay securely through Square, then print your membership certificate, which shows your join date and how many massages you've prepaid. Is massage therapy covered by insurance?

It can be. When therapeutic massage is medically appropriate and part of your chiropractic care plan, your insurance may help cover the cost — depending on your plan, diagnosis, and benefits. Relaxation massage is for general wellness and is not billed to insurance. Our office is happy to help you check what's included in your covered care.

What should I wear, and how do I prepare?

You'll be professionally draped at all times. Wear comfortable clothing, arrive hydrated, and simply communicate your pressure preferences — your comfort guides the entire session.

Is prenatal massage safe?

Yes, when performed by trained therapists with proper positioning. We avoid certain pressure points and customize techniques by trimester. Always share any pregnancy-related concerns so we can care for you and baby safely.

Why combine massage therapy with chiropractic care?

Massage relaxes tight muscles, which makes chiropractic adjustments easier, deeper, and longer-lasting. Together, they help your body move better, recover faster, and hold improvements longer than either approach alone.

Can massage therapy help with chronic pain?

Yes. Patients and clients with conditions like back pain, neck pain, headaches, and sciatica often experience meaningful relief. We'll tailor pressure and technique to your body and goals.
